Passion Week Worship 2024

Passion week – The Passion Week is from Monday to Thursday. The Church engages in a series of worship services that reflect on pivotal events leading up to Easter Sunday.
Holy Monday – The attention centers on the symbolic significance of the fig tree, which JESUS cursed for its lack of fruitfulness, serving as a powerful metaphor for spiritual barrenness.
Holy Tuesday – shifts focus to JESUS’ cleansing of the temple, emphasizing the importance of purity and reverence in worship.
Holy Wednesday– marks the poignant moment of Mary’s anointing of JESUS with expensive oil, foreshadowing his impending death and burial.
Maundy Thursday– It brings believers together to commemorate the Last Supper, where JESUS shared bread and wine with his disciples, instituting the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Throughout these days of Passion Week worship, followers reflect on the teachings and actions of JESUS, drawing spiritual nourishment and inspiration as they prepare their hearts for the solemnity of Good Friday and the Joy of Easter.
